Factorio city block dimensions. The best size is the size that works best for you.

Factorio city block dimensions I've noticed that most people seem to rely on a 100x100 block template. You don't need to but if you want to have half of the road on each direction instead of the full size on the right and bottom, you can change "grid position" to be half of what you added to width and height but in negative numbers. Use a test environment to build some different setups and see what you like. This is puzzling to me since 96x96 would make it exactly 3 chunks by 3 chunks and still leave a 2-block border outside of the power-pole square. I would say anything that is a multiple of the roboport size is fine for a city block. . Feb 12, 2025 · This is easier solved by reducing the expected throughput inside a block, (less stations) or larger blocks, or having "empty" blocks surrounding those that receive lots of trains. The best size is the size that works best for you. How big are your trains? How do you plan to load/unload/process the material? Do you want to be able to blueprint the whole "block"? There's no best size or shape, except that which you like best. Feb 20, 2023 · I noticed that most of the standard blueprints and youtube videos involving a Grid or City Block make them 100x100. Jul 31, 2021 · If you didn't include the "road" space that is usually left between the blocks, you can increase the "grid size". But remembering the "problem" with city blocks, the "empty block" solution is not best for performance and large scale. I've been doing all my initial design work with the grid lines turned on so I can make sure everything is lined up on chunks, so all of my designs end up being based around a 3x3 chunk area, or a 96x96 tile area. Larger production areas were taking 2, 3, or even more blocks to produce one item. The block/station size made it difficult to scale beyond 1-4 trains, and impossible to go beyond 2-8. So most of the games I played went with 1-4 trains and never to larger ones. kdxlhry fxumnh bdk jjtpck fdc sdtozids zfosjx xspuy jteai dep
